Overview of the book "New Orientalism: Preliminary Introductions" - Abdullah Al-Wuhaibi: Brian Turner believes that Orientalism has shown many symptoms of internal crises, even collapse, since World War II (1937-1945 AD), but finding an alternative was not easy; because Orientalism still retains intellectual and institutional support, and it possesses self-supporting elements that sustain its existence. Many attempts have been made to rebuild its scientific field, ensuring its continued effectiveness and achievement of its goals. This book seeks to explore available sources to form a clear picture of this effort aimed at reconstructing the scientific and methodological field in Orientalism, which has been called in the book "New Orientalism" or "Renewed Orientalism." This new edition of the book comes after about six years from the first edition, and it is an expanded, revised edition, in which the author rewrote the study from scratch, adding many additions that in total amount to nearly double the material of the first edition, while maintaining the overall structure of the book. Thus, this edition supersedes the previous one.
