About the book
And when the separation of the lovers' gathering is broken, the distance of Abu Fuhair and my preoccupation with others do not diminish the love that is in the heart, an old affection and an unwearable passion.
And they said that "Al-Rasis" is the origin of love, and they said it is the beginning and the end of desire, and it is his remaining in the heart and his hidden treasure, and it is his touch and his longing.
By my life, I have a kinship and a marriage with this book, with all those relationships, with Abu Fuhair.
And in the book, there remains part of the heritage of Sheikh of Arabic Mahmoud Shaker, collected previously in a book, from the beginning of his life to the autumn of his age, as introductions to others' writings, and his essays that are absent from ((Jumhura Maqalatihi)) which contains eleven essays, and his literary translations of some global texts, and what he summarized during his university studies from lectures of his Italian Orientalist teacher Nellino, and a rare interview published in Al-Faisal magazine, and a selection of his private letters to some of his teachers and friends, then his individual corrections of some printed heritage books that many readers and researchers overlook.
A work rooted in love, nourished by his deep-rooted passion in the heart, cared for by the deserving loyalty, the obligatory goodness, and the acknowledgment of the favor of one of the great scholars of this nation, and a guardian of its language, a shining star among its bright stars, so that it remains as he said about his teacher before: "A legacy we inherit, a literature we study, and a tenderness we seek refuge in."
And those days, we circulate among people.
