Introduction to the Mosque in Al-Illal wal-Fawa'id 5/1 - Maher Yasin Al-Fahl: Part of the introduction and the contents of the book. As for the organization of the book, it was divided into three sections: the theoretical section, the applied section, and the benefits and rules of Hadith. The first section: included discussion on the meaning of the cause, the importance of the science of causes, its benefits, history, imams, and the compilations in it, reasons for the occurrence of causes, methods of uncovering causes, and the approaches of hadith scholars in knowing causes, what removes causes, methods of compilation in the science of causes, and the culture of the cause-maker. The second section: was dedicated to discussing the types of causes, then the discussion of the branches stemming from those types, with numerous varied examples that distinguished by precise derivation and strict adherence to the rules of the masters of the field, tracking their statements on those hadiths, and the summary of judgments, with references to the sources of derivation that include the chain of narrators and judgments at the end of each hadith. The third section: which is the benefits and rules of Hadith; is the result of a long journey in serving the noble Sunnah, including review, verification, derivation, and teaching. It contains firm rules and exquisite benefits in the sciences of causes, criticism and correction, terminology, and the methodologies of the masters of the field. The book was then concluded with various indexes that were not lengthy like those at the end of Imam Al-Shafi'i’s Musnad, in pursuit of brevity. The indexes are as follows: 1 - Index of the verses 2 - Index of the hadiths 3 - Index of the sayings 4 - Index of the Mursal hadiths 5 - Index of the narrators and translators 6 - Index of the errors of narrators 7 - Index of poetry 8 - Index of printing errors and distortions found in the publications These indexes ease the difficulty of the book and facilitate research within it. The index of the errors of narrators, to the best of my knowledge, I have not seen before, and it is very useful for researchers seeking to identify the misconceptions and mistakes of narrators, including the number of mistaken narrators (361).
