Seven empty houses

"An intelligent world thinks of the madmen, or the people who seriously think of going crazy." And the mind, as always, is superficial. Samantha Shueblin draws us into Siete casas vacías, and around them, her characters are pushed to explore daily horror, to analyze their fears and the fears of others, and to put on the table the biases of those who, between alienation and "normal life," are shaken, thinking of others and contemplating themselves. Shueblin's sharp and precise prose, her ability to create dense and disturbing atmospheres, and the shocking range of sensations passing through her stories made this book worthy of the Ribera del Duro Award for international short storytelling.
