Product description

The guide of the judges regarding the judgments that are debated between the two parties is a proof in the procedures of Islamic Sharia. The book was written in the fifteenth century by Ali ibn Khalil al-Trabulsi, who was also known as "Alauddin ibn al-Hassan Ali ibn Khalil al-Trabulsi," and was a Hanafi jurist in Jerusalem. Al-Trabulsi pointed out in the introduction of his book the exceptional importance of Sharia in the Quran and among the messengers, then he continued saying that he wrote to clarify the basic principles of his profession. Al-Trabulsi notes that most law books are generally simple summaries of issues and judgments, and unlike that, he tries to explain the mysteries of his art. In his book, al-Trabulsi discusses aspects of his noble claim, in addition to some daily matters, such as the authority of judges, their status, and their compensation for their various services. He also cites many judicial rulings, although mostly without theoretical explanation. Not much is known about al-Trabulsi’s life, and this may be his only remaining work. This book was verified, corrected, and edited by Hussein Effendi al-Asiaouti and published by Bulaq Printing House in Cairo, under the supervision of its veteran supervisor Hussein Hosni. This edition was published in 1883, and Bulaq Printing House reissued it in 1892.
