Product description
I discovered that the ultimate goal of my search in books is to teach myself the good life and the good death. The book contains articles that approached intellectual and literary works, most of which are translated from German or English. I spent enjoyable time with their authors — as a reader and translator — imitating the style of Montaigne as he wrote his essays. I can say that the texts of this book are a transcription of contents from an inbox in the form of readings aiming to bestow some meaning on life, as Joseph Campbell suggested. As we will read in one of the articles in this work. The work has been titled "The Crack of the Bone of Life," which is the title of an article about the young American/Bulgarian writer Maria Popova, to whom I dedicated a sufficient portion here. Therefore, the articles are readings that modestly seek to approach Montaigne’s attempts to crack the hardened bone and stir it to speak and give life meaning. Number of pages: 224
