Overview of Diwan of Ibn Zaydun: Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Ghalib bin Zaydun, Al-Makhzumi Al-Andalusi, Abu Al-Walid. Minister, writer, poet, from Cordoba, he was attached to Ibn Jahur (one of the Taifa kings in Al-Andalus) and served as an ambassador between him and Al-Andalus, and they liked him. Ibn Jahur accused him of leaning towards Al-Mu'tadid bin Abu Abd Allah and imprisoned him, so Ibn Zaydun pleaded with him through amazing letters but was not softened, so he fled. He connected with Al-Mu'tadid, the ruler of Seville, who appointed him as his vizier, entrusted him with his kingdom, and he remained honored and close until he died in Seville during the days of Al-Mu'tadid's son, Al-Mu'tadid.
