Introduction to the book Building rulings on the objectives - Fahd Al-Ajlani: The question of building branches and rulings on the objectives lies at the heart of contemporary jurisprudential maqasid research, and it is one of the most important maqasid questions of our time, if not the most important of all. Many contemporaries, when studying the science of maqasid and exploring its topics, focus their attention on how to build the maqasid to serve as a foundation for jurisprudential efforts in fatwas, contemporary issues, and new developments. This book aims to answer this question by examining the way jurists implement maqasid in branches, and observing the impact of the maqasid on rulings in their jurisprudential perspective across all chapters, as understanding the true nature of jurisprudential construction is essential, and this cannot be achieved without a detailed examination of branches within all chapters. Based on this, the idea of this book was born, presenting the effect of maqasid on rulings and jurisprudential branches according to the views of early jurists, then collecting answers from those branches into a comprehensive response to this question, allowing us to understand the jurists' method of building rulings on maqasid. It then discusses another related question, which is the consequence of building branches on maqasid, namely the change of ruling due to the change of its intended purpose, followed by an examination of contemporary responses to this question.
