Product description
About the book "All human convictions are transient," as Montaigne wrote, and achieving this satisfaction, with all the meaning it carries, is something that concerns each of us, this present pleasure, this evident joy before us, this lived love, there is no trick for death to take with it. Will it be as it was not? There is no doubt about it, like everything that was and no longer is, but that does not diminish the value of pleasure, joy, and love in any way, rather I affirm that their utmost importance lies primarily in their rarity, their limited scope beforehand, and their uniqueness. Death is the rule, life is the exception to it, but the rule's existence is only valid through the exception that challenges it without violating it, that enhances it without overindulging in it. This is what we live, and what death will take from us, cannot completely erase it — because we live it, and because we may live it in a way that does not fade or perish. No living soul is excepted from death, and death is exclusively their fate. Without them, death is as if it were the same as nonexistence. This makes it certain that life is what deserves, and what gives it value: death itself has no significance except in relation to it.
