Product description

When Albert Camus died in a car accident, a draft of an unfinished novel was found in his car, titled "The First Man," which tells part of his biography when he was a student at a school in a poor neighborhood in Algiers, and how the presence of a compassionate and diligent teacher, Louis Germain, changed the fate of the doomed boy to become one of the most important writers of the twentieth century. The first part of this book contains the exchanged letters between Albert Camus, who became a brilliant writer at that time and won the Nobel Prize in Literature, and his benefactor teacher, and a part of it is published for the first time. Following that is a chapter from the novel "The First Man," in which Jack – the fictional character similar to Camus – recalls Mr. Bernard, his teacher in Algeria, a fictional name that does not forget his real example: Mr. Louis Germain.
