Author / Abu Hailal Al-Askari says the author in the introduction of his book: I have not seen a branch of sciences, or a field of literature, except that books have been written about it gathering its parts, organizing its types, except speech in the differences between meanings that have come close until the differences between them became confusing, such as knowledge and awareness and understanding and intelligence, and will and wish, and anger and wrath, and mistake and error and perfection and completeness, and beauty and aesthetics, and separation and difference, and cause and instrument and general and specific and time and duration, and similar matters. I have not seen a book sufficient for the student and satisfying the seeker about the differences between these meanings and similar ones, with many benefits leading to knowledge of the faces of speech, understanding the true meanings, and reaching the purpose in it. So I made my book this, including what suffices without prolongation or brevity, and I made my speech about what appears in the Book of Allah, and what occurs in the words of jurists and theologians and other people's dialogues, leaving the unfamiliar that is rarely circulated.
