Product description
Authorship / Ibn Kathir
Allah the Almighty mentioned in His noble book the purpose of recounting the Quranic stories, He said: "And each of them We related to you from the stories of the messengers that We might strengthen thereby your heart. And there has come to you in this the truth and an admonition and a reminder for the believers." So, strengthening the heart of the Prophet, peace be upon him, as Ibn Ashur said, is an increase in his certainty in Allah's promise, and a consolation for his heart from the denial he faced from his people. Also, one who reviews the Book of Allah finds in it beneficial, profound admonitions, useful stories, and moving scenes that serve as lessons and reminders.
This book has a feature that you do not find in others; it is an Islamic book related to the biography of the guides of nations throughout human history. It is written by an imam who is a leader in transmitting news, critiquing it, and scrutinizing it. He hardly reports a story or what is narrated by people unless he accompanies it with his comments, acceptance or rejection.
Indeed, Ibn Kathir transmits the texts as they are, with honesty, then adds his touch to reassure the reader that the text presented is correct and should be accepted, or false and should be rejected and warned against distorting it among people.
