Authorship / Imam Al-Ghazali He summarized in it his book "Tahdhib Al-Usul" which leans towards thoroughness, including in it the main jurisprudential discussions through which Islamic rulings are derived from their general evidences, and he divided it into an introduction and four sections. The introduction is for preamble and preparation, and the sections are the chapters covering the science of origins: The first chapter on rulings. The second on the evidences, which are the Book, the Sunnah, and consensus. The third on the method of investment, which are the ways of indicating the evidences, and they are four: indication by the organized (literature), indication by the concept, indication by necessity and implication, and indication by the reasonable meaning. The fourth on the investor, who is the mujtahid who rules by his opinion, and he is opposed by the muqallid who is obliged to follow him. Al-Ghazali relied in it on the method of dialogue, debate, and discussion, with a strong reverence for the Sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them) and acknowledgment of their virtue, and following the approach of discussing the opinions of previous scholars through agreement or disagreement, and favoring what he sees as correct based on a set of clues and evidence, whether rational or transmitted, in addition to refuting the opinions of opponents.
