Water Leakage Sensor

The Zigbee water leakage sensor detects water at its sensing points and sends instant notifications to the mobile application. It also supports smart automation scenarios, such as activating an alarm or closing a compatible smart water valve to help limit the potential effects of a leak.

Water Leakage Sensor Applications

The sensor can be installed in areas susceptible to water leaks, including beneath sinks and near washing machines, dishwashers, and water heaters. When water reaches the sensing points, the system sends a notification and can execute the configured automation scenario.

The sensor detects water only within its contact area and cannot identify leaks occurring away from the device. Automatic water shut-off requires a compatible smart water valve linked to the sensor through an automation scenario.

Supply and Installation

The work includes the supply and installation of a Zigbee water leakage sensor, selection of a suitable location, positioning of the sensing points near the potential source of leakage, and pairing with the Zigbee gateway and mobile application.

It also includes configuration of the agreed notifications and automation scenarios, functional testing in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, and verification that alerts and linked automation commands operate correctly.

Remote notifications depend on the Zigbee gateway’s internet connection and the settings of the selected application.
