Introduction to the science of tourism

Author: Haifa Yahiya Ubaid Al-Bala'a Reviewing how to benefit from tourism in economic development through six chapters included in the book, where the first chapter introduces the study of tourism through (concepts related to tourism including "tourist travel, tourist trip, tourism activity, tourist maps, the relationship between geography and tourism," the concept of tourism, the concept of the tourist, the emergence of tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the importance of tourism, characteristics of the tourism industry, types of tourism, levels of tourism). The second chapter is "Tourism components in Saudi Arabia," which includes the following elements: natural components including: "location, area, climate, water resources." Human components including: "tourism services and facilities, cultural services, historical and archaeological sites, transportation services and ease of access," the geographical advantages of Saudi Arabia's location, and finally the climatic advantages of Saudi Arabia. The book continues with the third chapter "Tourist attraction," which includes: "tourist attraction, influencing factors on tourist attraction, challenges of tourist attraction." In addition, the fourth chapter is titled "Sustainable tourism development," which includes: "tourism development, sustainable tourism, principles of sustainable tourism, goals of sustainable tourism, planning for sustainable tourism development, negative environmental impacts of tourism." The fifth chapter is titled "Tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," which includes: "tourist areas in Saudi Arabia, tourism movement indicators in Saudi Arabia, tourism in Saudi Vision 2030." The sixth chapter covers the various roles of the tourism sectors, which include: "economic role of tourism, social role of tourism, environmental role of tourism, cultural role of tourism."
