Publisher: Arab Publishing Foundation Author: Saud Al-Balawi Language: Arabic Pages: 118 Summary: In the introduction with which the author opens his work, he says: "In this book, some details of memory in the world of writing, I present it today relying on the 'second writing' inspired by all fleeting moments, and remembering the place and time in which I experienced the first writing; so that whoever wishes can live with me the stories of digging into memory." From this textual opening, the author begins to shed light on the writing experience of a number of foreign and Arab writers and creators. As for Nietzsche, "For me, writers are a necessity; because I have not yet found another way to get rid of my thoughts." He disagrees with this view the Austrian writer Stefan Zweig, who says: "Writing is like a state of killing!" Perhaps he means that creative writing is a special state of killing ideas to bring them out of the mind into reality to immortalize them, to be a message within the framework of human partnership between the writer and the recipient who tries to revive it. And for Theodore Adorno, writing means: "For the person who no longer has a homeland, writing becomes a place for him to live." This means that through writing, existence becomes beautiful; the writer recovers his brilliance and activity, as it is a state he lives in the new world or the alternative homeland, and he resorted to it as a kind of adaptation to the new circumstances... And so, the digging into memory continues to recover special states experienced by writers and through which they expressed the writing experience, with an elegant, deep, and beautiful analysis by the writer Saud Al-Balawi, including mentions of "Ernest Hemingway," "Rasul Khomzanov" / the Dagestani poet, "Gabriel García Márquez," "Nikos Kazantzakis," and "Abd Al-Rahman Munif" (...) and others.
