What is Acetylcysteine ACC and its use: ACC Long 600mg contains the active ingredient Acetylcysteine and works to thin the sticky mucus in the airways. ACC Long 600mg is used to loosen mucus and relieve cough in cases of bronchitis caused by cold in adolescents over 14 years old and adults. What you need to know before taking ACC medication: Do not take ACC if you are allergic to Acetylcysteine or any ingredients of this medication. Due to the high amount of the active ingredient, it is not recommended to take Acetylcysteine Long 600 mg for children under 14 years old. Other medications with lower amounts of the active ingredient are available for them. Important warning for all age groups: Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are currently taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications. ACC Long 600mg contains sorbitol, lactose, and sodium. This medication contains up to 40 mg of sorbitol in each effervescent tablet. It contains 70 mg of lactose in each effervescent tablet. If your doctor has told you that you are intolerant to certain sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medication. This medication contains 6.03 millimoles (139 mg) of sodium per effervescent tablet. This is equivalent to 7% of the maximum recommended daily sodium intake for an adult. How to take ACC: Always take this medication exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Dosage and duration of treatment: Adults and adolescents over 14 years old: ½ effervescent tablet twice daily or one effervescent tablet once daily. Method of use: Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of drinking water and drink the entire contents of the glass immediately after meals. It is not recommended to dissolve the ACC effervescent tablet at the same time as other medications. The effervescent tablet can be divided into equal doses.
