How to use Voltaren 50 mg suppositories Suppositories are designed to be inserted into the rectum. Do not take them orally. How to use: Lie on one side with your knees raised toward your chest. Gently push the pointed end of the suppository first into the rectum using your finger. Push the suppository inward as far as possible, lower your legs, and if possible, remain fixed for a few minutes. If you feel the need to remove the suppository, try to resist by lying steadily with your buttocks pressed together. It is important to keep the suppository in the rectum to allow it to dissolve and absorb the medication. Pushing the suppository high into the rectum with your finger will help reduce this feeling. If you take more than prescribed, talk to your doctor or go to the hospital immediately. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for your next dose.
