Uses of azelaic acid: Azelaic acid is a skin cream used to treat common acne. Do not use azelaic acid: if you are allergic to azelaic acid or any other ingredients of this medication. Warnings and precautions: Azelaic acid for external use only on the skin. Azelaic acid should not come into contact with your eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse your eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes immediately with plenty of cold water.
