Diosmin is used for: alleviating symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency (poor blood flow in the vein). Treatment of symptoms of acute hemorrhoid attack. Possible side effects: stop using this product and seek immediate medical care if you experience a rash; itching; red or ulcerated or peeling skin; chest or throat tightness; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency of these side effects is unknown. Common side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Other medications and Diosmin: inform your doctor about all medications you are taking. How to take Diosmin: this medication is for adults only. Take this medication as directed by your doctor. Take this medication with a meal. For venous insufficiency: one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening. Hemorrhoid attack: 6 tablets daily for 4 days, then 4 tablets daily for 3 days.
