Indapamide mechanism of action: Indapamide has a dual mechanism: it acts as a diuretic on the distal part of the nephron in the kidneys and acts as a vasodilator, both contributing to lowering blood pressure.
The extended-release "SR" formulation contains components that help in drug movement in the body.
Medical uses of Normalex 1.5 mg extended-release tablets: Indapamide can be used to treat high blood pressure. It can be used alone or with other antihypertensive medications.
High blood pressure: High blood pressure is a common condition where the force on the walls of the arteries is high enough to eventually cause health problems, such as heart diseases.
How to use Normalex 1.5 mg extended-release tablets: Always take this medication exactly as your doctor told you. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
