What polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol is used for: polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol is a lubricant used for temporary relief of irritation and burning caused by dry eyes. It can also be used to treat dry eyes resulting from contact lens use. This product consists of single-dose containers free of preservatives. Do not use polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: - if you are allergic to polyethylene glycol or propylene glycol or any ingredients of this medication. Inform your doctor about any allergies and symptoms you have. if the product appears cloudy or changes color. Precautions and warnings: - talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting this medication if you are allergic to polyethylene glycol or propylene glycol or any ingredients of this medication. - this medication is for external use only. - stop using the medication and consult a doctor if you experience irritation or redness in the eye that worsens or lasts more than 72 hours. - stop using the medication and consult a doctor if you experience vision changes or eye pain. · When used for dry eyes caused by contact lenses, make sure to instill the drops before putting on the contact lenses and after removing them. Possible side effects: include signs of allergic reactions, such as rash and itching. Common side effects include blurred vision, mild eye irritation, burning or stinging. Other medications and polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any other medications, including eye drops. If you are using more than one eye drop solution, ensure to wait at least five minutes between each to avoid mixing the drops. How to use polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: the recommended dose is one or two drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. · wash your hands. Unscrew the top of the single-dose container. tilt your head slightly back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a pocket. place the container above your eye with the tip facing downward. look upward and away from the container, then squeeze to release a drop. close your eyes for 2-3 minutes while tilting your head downward, making sure not to blink. gently press the corner of your eye for about a minute. · space the drops at least 5 minutes apart. How to store polyethylene glycol / propylene glycol: - keep the eye drops at room temperature. · be sure to discard the container after one use. · dispose of any remaining contents after 12 hours of opening. · keep out of reach of children and pets. · do not use after the expiration date printed on the package. · store away from light.
