Product description

Product name Avalon, Afomib Extra, wound and burn ointment - 15 g The scientific name Beta sitosterol Afomib Extra cream belongs to wound and burn healing preparations How beta sitosterol works Beta sitosterol is one of several phytosterols (plant sterols). The concept of this treatment is to expose the wound to a moist physiological environment to promote the natural healing process, facilitating keratinocyte migration, blood vessel formation, and interaction with growth factors. Specific medical uses Afomib Extra cream is used for: First-degree burns are burns that affect only the upper layer of the skin and are mild in origin and usually heal quickly (like sunburns). Second-degree burns are superficial and deeper burns that may not require skin grafting (removal of skin from one area to the affected area) if treated properly with this medicine. Third-degree burns (burns that affect the deep layers of the skin sometimes reaching tendons, bones, and muscles), to reduce the painful skin area and prepare it for healing and non-surgical grafting. To reduce pain in the donor site (the skin area from which a skin shave is taken for grafting and used in the affected skin area) and to control infection risks at this site, which promotes skin recovery. Surgical wounds including delivery wounds (resulting from childbirth and related procedures). How to use Afomib Extra cream Apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area 3 to 4 times daily if the area is not covered, and twice daily if covered; dosages can be changed under special circumstances, so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to your doctor or go to the hospital immediately. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for your next dose.
