The description begins with black pepper like pure oil and fresh mandarin, well hidden under a woody accord of leathers. They are here to elevate the scent, to awaken it, then it moves to a dark warm woody heart: an ionic accord of warm violet along with patchouli with cedar wood that blends smoothly with the base accord made of the leathers described above. This tough leather is softened by the sweet aroma of labdanum, and there is also a bit of smoke in the distant base – black smoke from juniper tar and bitter white smoke from Styrax, giving Styrax a slightly burnt shadow in the base.
