How does lornoxicam work?

• The main mechanism of action of NSAIDs is inhibition of the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX).
• Cyclooxygenases are required for the conversion of arachidonic acid into thromboxane, prostaglandins, and prostacyclins. The body releases these substances in response to illness and injury.
• Lornoxicam reduces pain, fever, swelling, and inflammation.
