Product description:

• Mometasone furoate is used to reduce redness and itching caused by skin conditions called psoriasis or dermatitis.
• The ointment is intended for very dry, cracked, and flaky skin. The lotion is used on the scalp.

Do not use mometasone furoate:

• If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• If you have any other skin problems including rosacea, acne, skin atrophy, and perioral dermatitis.
• On open wounds or skin ulcers.
• If you are suffering from a skin infection such as cold sores, chickenpox, warts, shingles.

Warnings and precautions:

Tell your doctor about all your health conditions.

Tell your doctor if your condition worsens.

Tell your doctor if you develop pus-filled bumps on your skin.

Tell your doctor if you have eye problems such as cataracts or glaucoma.

This medication may cause delayed growth in children.

Possible side effects:

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if:

• I developed a skin rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• The frequency with which these side effects occur is unknown.

Stop taking this medication and contact your doctor if you experience:

• Symptoms of adrenal gland dysfunction include severe stomach upset, vomiting, severe dizziness, fainting, muscle weakness, extreme fatigue, mood changes, lack of appetite, and weight loss.
• Symptoms of hyperadrenalization include weight gain in the upper back, stomach, or round face, severe headaches, or slowed healing.
• Thinning of the skin.

Other medications and mometasone furoate:

• Tell your doctor about all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter medications, supplements, and herbal products.

Usage guidelines:

• This property is intended for adults and children aged two years and above.
• Use as directed by your doctor.
• This product is for external use only.
• The lotion should only be used on the scalp.
• Large quantities should not be used on large areas of the body for a long period of time.
• Apply a thin layer to the affected area of skin and massage gently.

How to store mometasone furoate:

• Store at room temperature of 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 25 degrees Celsius).
• Discard the opened tube along with any remaining ointment after 12 weeks.
• Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton.
