Product Description:

• Fixed dose of amlodipine and candesartan cilexetil for the treatment of hypertension.
• Candesartan cilexetil antagonizes the action of angiotensin II by blocking angiotensin type I (AT1) receptors.
• Angiotensin II is the primary vasoactive hormone of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system with effects that include vasoconstriction, stimulation of aldosterone secretion, and renal sodium reabsorption.
• Candesartan cilexetil, the prodrug, is rapidly converted to the active drug, candesartan, during absorption from the gastrointestinal tract.
• Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that prevents calcium from entering heart cells and blood vessel walls, leading to vasodilation and lower blood pressure.

Directions for use:

• Your dosage schedule as determined by your doctor.
• For adults, take one tablet at a time, once daily.
• Follow your doctor/pharmacist's instructions carefully.
• If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible.
• If it is less than 8 hours until your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule.
• Do not take double doses to make up for a missed dose.
• If you take too much medicine (more than required), consult your doctor/pharmacist.
• Do not stop taking this medicine without your doctor's advice.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Since dizziness and lightheadedness may occur due to excessively low blood pressure, be careful when working at heights or operating dangerous machinery such as driving a car.
• Do not take this medicine with grapefruit juice.
