Blake’s Tyger embodies both the qualities I wanted to portray: grandeur and irresistibly attractive on one side and terrible and frightening on the other. The "fearful symmetry" — the character attributed to the tiger — appropriately represents this opposition to beautiful perfection and horror. The perfume was built around an agreement of intoxicating white flowers with sweet aspects, which also include a note of musk rom — like Prima Donna, the heroine of a dramatic piece, it is the best example of an elegant civilization of a past world; on the other hand, the main ingredients offer a different kind of woods, with some burnt and leathery qualities, hinting at a post-apocalyptic scenario of destruction, mystery, and darkness. The result of these parts — which do not work individually — is a sparkling and shimmering perfume that gives me an exciting sense of very dramatic evolution — a kind of conflicting feeling that anything attractive inside me stirs.
