How to maintain the bisht:

• The proper folding process for the bisht must be observed.
• When you have finished wearing the bisht after use, it is preferable to hang it in the closet and store it in the cloth bag.
• The bisht (cloak) is not washed or ironed except with steam.
• Do not put perfumes on the bisht because of its effect on the zari, and be satisfied with incense.
• The bisht should not be exposed to strong light or sunlight for long hours.
• It is preferable not to go out wearing a bisht in rainy weather.
• Avoid placing the bisht directly in contact with the wood without placing it in a plastic bag to avoid termites.
