Product description

Nivea is a German company specializing in cosmetics and personal care products, established in 1911 to market and sell a new patented skin cream aimed at women with white skin. The specific benefits of its flagship product "Eucerin" were vaguely defined and remained unclear, but the moisturizer gained enough popularity across Europe and parts of the United States to allow its owners to expand their business. Nivea completely changed its brand in 1958, in an attempt to move away from its reputation as just a seller of its main product, and transformed itself into a larger figure in the skincare industry by offering various types of sun protection products and specialized products for children. After less than 30 years, Nivea rebranded to appeal to the global market it sought to serve on a broader scale. Thus, in 1986, they sparked a "revolution in skincare" by addressing men's skincare needs in their mission statement: "Men no longer have to use products that belong to their wives, sisters, or mothers. Now they can use Nivea for Men, a range of skincare products just for them."
