Using Sony's latest STARVIS 2 sensor for both the front and rear cameras, the A229 Pro sets a new standard in the automotive camera industry, thanks to its ability to record in 4K resolution with the front camera, 2K with the rear camera, and 1080p with the interior camera. This three-channel recording captures every detail, day and night.

• Sony STARVIS 2 dual sensor

The A229 Pro is the first dashcam to use Sony's second-generation Starvis sensor (STARVIS 2) in both its front and rear cameras. The IMX678 and IMX675 sensors offer a wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than the first-generation Starvis technology, significantly reducing image noise and motion blur during both day and night recording.

• 4K front camera

The front camera records stunning 4K video thanks to its 8MP Sony STARVIS 2 1/1.8-inch image sensor, which boasts more pixels for greater clarity and detail, even in low light. This sensor offers a wider dynamic range than previous STARVIS models and supports 4K HDR, resulting in less noise, reduced motion blur, and enhanced detail.

• 2K rear camera

The rear camera records in 2K resolution and features a 5MP Sony STARVIS 2 1/2.8-inch image sensor, taking rear recording to the next level. The sensor boasts 2.5 times the dynamic range of a STARVIS of the same size, capturing exceptionally clear and sharp video during both day and night recording.

• Infrared cabin recording

With its built-in infrared light sensor, the camera automatically activates four infrared LEDs when it detects low-light conditions in the car's cabin, enabling the recording of sharp black and white image details even in pitch darkness.

• Smart voice control and voice alerts

The A229 Pro comes equipped with voice control, allowing you to start/stop recording, take photos, and turn Wi-Fi on/off using simple spoken commands in multiple languages (English, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai). It can also clearly notify you of settings changes or memory card errors, keeping you fully alert on the road.

• Fast 5G Wi-Fi

The upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity module is integrated into the A229 PRO to provide 4x faster data transfer, ensuring seamless video previewing, downloading, and sharing.

• Download recordings directly to your phone at lightning speed

The camera supports seamless connectivity with your smartphone via a USB 2.0 Type-C data cable, enabling ultra-fast downloads of photos and videos. Specifically, download speeds reach up to 20MB/s on the iPhone 15. This direct connection also makes updating the camera's operating system effortless, ensuring you always have access to the latest features and optimal performance.

Note: Please use a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable and ensure your phone supports a 5V2A port. This data transfer method is compatible with iPhone 15 and later models, and Android smartphones.

24/7 monitoring while parked and automatic event detection

Once moving objects are detected around the vehicle, the camera will automatically start recording and will save video for 15 seconds before the detected event and 30 seconds after.

• High-precision Global Positioning System (GPS)

The A229 Pro features a state-of-the-art quad-mode GPS unit that supports four satellite positioning systems: GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, and GLONASS. This enables faster positioning and significantly improves positioning accuracy and stability. It also provides detailed location, speed, and time data for the vehicle when playing video on the VIOFO app or a computer.
