The A229 Pro is equipped with advanced dual cameras utilizing Sony's latest STARVIS 2 technology, setting a new industry standard with its unparalleled 4K front and 2K rear recording capabilities. It delivers excellent video quality, capturing every detail day and night.

• Sony STARVIS 2 Dual Sensors

The A229 Pro is the industry's first dash cam to use two of Sony's flagship STARVIS 2 image sensors, one for the front camera and one for the rear camera. These sensors, the IMX678 and IMX675, offer a wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than STARVIS technology, resulting in significantly less noise and blur during both day and night recording.

• 4K front camera with Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678

The front camera records stunning 4K video with its 8MP Sony STARVIS 2 1/1.8-inch image sensor, which has more pixels for greater clarity and detail, even in low light. The sensor offers a wider dynamic range in a single exposure than STARVIS and supports 4K HDR, resulting in reduced noise, fewer motion blurs, and more detail.

• 2K rear camera with Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675

The rear camera records in 2K resolution using a Sony STARVIS 2 1/2.8'' 5MP image sensor, taking rear recording to the next level. The sensor boasts an impressive dynamic range 2.5 times wider than STARVIS pixels of the same size, capturing exceptionally clear and sharp video during both daytime and nighttime recording.

• HDR for front and rear cameras

The A229 Pro excels in a wide range of lighting conditions, thanks to the integration of Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 and IMX675 sensors. Every shot is enhanced with a wider dynamic range to reveal more detail in both highlights and shadows. These key sensors, along with advanced HDR technology, balance extremely bright and dark areas to accurately restore the details of 4K and 2K recordings, even at night.

• Smart voice control and notifications

The A229 Pro comes equipped with an advanced voice control feature, which allows you to start/stop recording, take pictures, and turn WiFi on/off using simple spoken commands in multiple languages (English/Chinese/Russian/Japanese).

It can also clearly notify you of settings changes or memory card errors, keeping you fully focused on the road.

• Super-fast 5GHz Wi-Fi network

An upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connectivity module is integrated into the A229 Pro to provide much faster Wi-Fi data transmission, ensuring smooth video previewing, downloading, and sharing.

• Super-fast video downloads directly to your phone

The driving camera supports seamless connectivity with your smartphone via a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable, enabling blazing-fast downloads of photos and videos. Specifically, download speeds reach up to 20MB/s on iPhone 15. This direct connection also facilitates effortless firmware updates, ensuring access to the latest features and optimal performance.

Note: Please use a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable and ensure your phone supports 5V2A output. This data transfer method is compatible with the iPhone 15 series and newer Android smartphones.

• Automatic event detection

With the support of a buffering function, once moving objects are detected, the camera will automatically start recording and will save video for 15 seconds before the detected event and 30 seconds after.

• Time interval recording

Record low frame rate video at 1/2/3/5/10 frames per second without recording audio, saving storage and power.

• Low bitrate recording

Continue recording continuously with a small file size and audio recording, to help save more space on your MicroSD card.

• High-precision GPS system

The A229 Pro features an advanced quad-mode GPS unit that supports four satellite positioning systems: GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, and GLONASS. This enables faster positioning and significantly improves positioning accuracy and stability. It provides detailed location, speed, and time data for the vehicle when playing video on the VIOFO app or a computer.

This is a 2.4-inch high-resolution screen, designed for clearly previewing images and video while driving on the road.
