Backhome Mini Transponder Microchips from Virbac Co. France - 10 pcs

30

Product description

BackHome sterile microchips for identification (transponders), supplied in dedicated single-use implanters—the miniature version from the French company Virbac (Pack of 10).

Description

10 sterile transponders in disposable implants, with 6 adhesive barcodes per transponder.

  • International Standard: BackHome microchips adhere to the international standard for electronic microchip readers. The microchip code consists of 15 digits.
  • Anti-Return Click System: The implanter comes pre-loaded with the transponder. The "no-return" click system serves as an additional safety measure, ensuring that the transponder is not sucked back into the implanter before it is removed from the implant site.
  • Locking System: The new BackHome implanter helps protect the environment by allowing separate recycling: the needle goes into the appropriate medical container for sharp objects, and the implanter body goes into a container for plastic materials.
  • Database: The database is accessible via the internet or by phone, providing qualified users with access to pet owner contact information if a lost pet is found.
  • Registration Forms: Includes 10 forms allowing the newly implanted animal to be registered in the database. Return envelopes may be included (availability varies by country).
  • Barcode Labels: The microchip code is displayed on 6 labels with corresponding barcodes. Attach the barcode labels to registration forms (if attached varies by country), vaccination certificates, or any other official documents.

How to Use:

  1. Verification: Ensure the animal has not already been microchipped using a BackHome scanner.
  2. Inspection: Check the integrity of the sterile packaging.
  3. Scan & Confirm: Before opening the sterile packaging, scan the transponder to be implanted and verify that the code matches the number printed on the barcode labels inside the sterile pouch. (Note: The transponder is pre-loaded inside the implanter needle).
  4. Opening: Open the sterile pouch and remove the protective plastic cap from the needle.
  5. Locate Site: Identify the correct implant site.
  6. Implantation: Always apply standard aseptic precautions. Create a fold of skin where pressure will be applied to the plunger to fully expel the transponder. The quick-check system ensures the transponder is not drawn back into the needle after implantation.
  7. Scanning: Scan the newly implanted transponder to verify it is working properly.
  8. Safe Disposal: Replace the plastic cap on the needle and safely dispose of the used implanter.
