Breeding formulations contain high levels of protein with a suitable amino acid profile for this stage of life, paying attention to their fatty acid properties and omega 6 and omega 3 content. The vitamin and antioxidant concentrations in these formulations are much higher than in maintenance formulas to cover the greater nutritional requirements during breeding. Feeding recommendations for Psittacus Microspheres 20/10 breeding dry formula 800 grams: The microspheres are developed to provide quick hydration while maintaining their round shape intact. They can be offered either dry or moist. As a moist food, they are excellent for stimulating chick provisioning behavior. Microspheres can also be offered mixed with other foods, such as Psittacus Eggfood (listed separately) or chopped vegetables. Make sure to add enough water just to create a moist, runny, and non-sticky mixture because this is the most preferred texture by birds. Pour two parts of the microspheres into a bowl. Add about 1 part of water and mix. Leave for at least 15 minutes. Chop the mixture and serve immediately, or add dry egg food and/or vegetables. The amount of water used to hydrate the microspheres depends on the amount of dry egg food added. 20/10 microspheres product details: This pelleted formulation is ideal for small parrots and should be served mixed with water.
