Fusidic acid 20 mg/gram cream. What is fusidic acid used for: Fusidic acid is used to treat some types of skin infections caused by bacteria such as impetigo (ulcers and scabs), wounds, and infected burns. Do not use fusidic acid: • If you are allergic to the active ingredients or any other components of this medication. Precautions and warnings: • Be cautious when using this medication near your eyes. • Do not use for a long period. A second infection may occur. Possible side effects: Stop using this product and seek medical attention immediately if you experience a rash; itching; red or sore or peeling skin; chest or throat tightness; difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency of these side effects is unknown. Side effects include: • Mild skin irritation • Rash • Eczema Other medications and fusidic acid: • Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking. How to take fusidic acid: • For external use only. • Use this medication as directed by your doctor. • Wash your hands before use. • Apply 2-3 times daily. How to store fusidic acid: • Store at room temperature from 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 25 degrees Celsius). • Keep this medicine out of reach of children. • Do not use this medicine after the expiration date printed on the container.
