Product description: Salmeterol is a long-acting bronchodilator that works to expand the airways so that the passage of air in the lungs is improved. The effect occurs after 10-20 minutes and lasts for at least 12 hours. Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid that resists mucus formation and swelling in the airways. This makes breathing easier, and if used regularly, it will reduce the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The effect on inflammation occurs after 4-7 days. Salmeterol / fluticasone propionate is used to treat asthma and COPD when both corticosteroid and a long-acting bronchodilator are needed. Usage instructions: Hold the inhaler so that the mouthpiece is facing down. Form a tight seal by placing your lips around the nozzle. Begin to breathe slowly through your mouth and press the inhaler down. Then remove the inhaler and breathe normally. Warnings and precautions: Do not stop taking this medication on your own unless advised by your doctor. Before taking fluticasone / salmeterol, inform your doctor if you have a history of heart, liver, kidney diseases, adrenal hyperfunction (high cortisol levels), eye disorders such as cataracts, glaucoma, seizures, and osteoporosis (weakness and fragility of bones), or diabetes. Fluticasone / salmeterol can cause hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood), so it should be used with caution in patients with hypokalemia to prevent any effects on the heart and blood vessels. Special precautions should be taken in patients with fungal, bacterial, parasitic, or viral infections and tuberculosis because nasal or inhaled corticosteroids like fluticasone can cause secondary infections. Fluticasone / salmeterol can cause an increase in blood glucose levels. Therefore, blood glucose levels should be monitored regularly if you have diabetes. Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience drowsiness or increased/irregular heartbeat while using fluticasone / salmeterol.
