Zakat is the second pillar of Islam that God has imposed on rich Muslims as a mandatory annual payment. It is given to the poor, as it is a way to end misery, spread happiness, and relieve the needy from the troubles of life.

The ruling on zakat is obligatory. God Almighty said: {And establish prayer and pay zakat}. It is also proven in the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said: “Islam is built on five things: testifying that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, establishing prayer, paying zakat, performing the Hajj to the House, and fasting Ramadan.” Bukhari and Muslim.

Zakat money is disbursed in the form of cash assistance to the families sponsored by the association through cash transfers that are deposited in their accounts every two months, and all the beneficiary families include those eligible for zakat, including widows, orphans, families of prisoners, the disabled, and those who have no source of income.
