- The Zecchin VANGUARD model (article HIN) is a high-ankle safety boot from the same Italian-styled brand as the Zecchin BASE (low-cut shoe) previously documented in this library, but represents a genuinely different model, not merely a color variant. The upper is made of genuine breathable leather — without mentioning water resistance this time (unlike the BASE mask, for which it was explicitly stated). It features an antipuncture steel midsole resisting up to 1100 Newtons (the same value as BASE), and a steel toe cap withstanding impact up to 200 Joules (also the same value as BASE). It relies on a double-density PU injection moulded sole resistant to temperatures up to 130°C, with a new additional feature not present on BASE: an ankle anti-twist system — a feature entirely logical for a high-ankle boot design requiring additional joint stability. It features both heat insulation and cold insulation together, and an antibacterial, sanitized, antistatic insole. It comes with a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects — shorter than BASE's full one-year warranty. Certified to the current European standard CE EN ISO 20345:2022 with a full protection class of "S1P HI CI SR" — a different class from BASE's "S3 HI CI SR" class.
