From shiny blue to endless black, the gradient dial celebrates a man's journey to the deepest place on earth: the Mariana Trench bottom. The unidirectional rotatable bezel with 60-minute graduation allows Rolex Deepsea divers to monitor dive times and decompress accurately and safely. The watch features a patented black Cerachrom bezel, produced by Rolex, made of scratch-resistant ceramic, unaffected by ultraviolet rays. The gradient is coated with Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technology with a thin layer of platinum. The dial features large Chromalight hour markers and hands, made of luminous material emitting a long-lasting blue glow for excellent visibility in the dark.
