The Beautiful Bookcase - Ahmed Al-Zanati

A person's job is to search for the book in which he discovers himself, and to search for the story that tells his story. We have to read because we cannot know a sufficient number of friends, but friendship itself is subject to change, withering and disappearance, or perhaps defeat due to betrayal or false feelings, so reading turns into a long training in the life of isolation, and the continuation and understanding of life (Harold Bloom).
