The hero with a thousand faces - Joseph Campbell

"Joseph Campbell sails through the centuries, to come back and tell us about that inherent need in all of us to hear stories and understand ourselves. If you take The Hero in a Thousand Faces as a book, reading it is an experience. If you take it as a way to shed light on human nature, it is a revelation."

* George Lucas - Director and writer of the Star Wars series

"Since I graduated from university, I have not read a book I previously read as much as I did with this book, and every time I find in it a new vision of the depths of the human journey, I did not notice it before."

* Bill Moyers - American writer and journalist

Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces may be the most influential book of the twentieth century.

* Christopher Vogler - American writer and screenwriter

"Campbell's words have exceptional weight, not only among academics, but also among a large segment of people who found in his studies of mythology an echo of their contemporary lives.... His most famous book (The Hero with a Thousand Faces), through his study of ancient heroic myths, presents a genius approach to eternal human suffering in search of his identity.
