Publisher: Dar Madarek for Publishing Publication date: 2019 Book format: Paperback Number of pages: 235 "Her children and husbands disappear into the depths of confusion, in the prisons of the Houthis, and in the prisons of the new colonizer, so they remain waiting stations for the return of the absent ones, who sometimes do not return. They go out, gather, and scream, then become men in the absence of men. Women do not make the decisions of war, nor do they take them, but they are always forced to live through the details of wars, and bear their effects down to the bottom of the rubble of their destroyed homes on their heads. After the fighting ends, they carry the responsibility of breathing life and restoring its channels. War kills men, steals the future of children, and suffocates women, pressing on their chests until they die slowly."
