The secret books life

Publisher: Maskelliani Publishing Number of pages: 160 This work tries to take the brave reader beyond the borders drawn for us by the pages of a book, lines of a poem, or stage lights. It is about a great journey, despite its brevity, aiming to make what lies behind books visible: authors and their biographies, their whims, their brilliance, and sometimes their states of misery, and everything that books conceal between their pages of questions: why were some books deprived of signing events? What was the nature of the book that disturbed the Soviet intelligence agency? Which book troubled Nazi intelligence? And what novel achieved extraordinary sales after being rejected by many publishers? Every book, from the moment it sees the light in its creator’s mind until it reaches the hands of readers, passes through dozens of small moments filled with coincidence or inspiration, moments charged with happiness and often with pain. The book in your hands aims to rewrite these moments to uncover very important details about some great stations in the history of forgotten literature.
