About the book: Remembrance and supplication are among the best and most beneficial acts of worship that a Muslim can do in his life. They are among the easiest acts of worship and among the most important and greatest causes of happiness, comfort, and victory for the believer, in matters of this world and the Hereafter. Therefore, mentioning Allah Almighty and supplication with all their benefits, goodness, and benefit; they are a blessing and a gift from Allah to the servant. They are acts of worship that a Muslim must never neglect under any circumstances. For this reason, it is necessary for the servant to preserve them as much as possible and not to abandon them at all times. There are many benefits that will be listed in this book, God willing. There are many remembrances that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in various and all his times and states, including, for example, remembrance and supplication in the morning and evening, during and after prayers, when entering and leaving the mosque, when sleeping, when waking up, in times of fear, after eating and during eating, when riding a beast, when traveling, when seeing what one loves, when seeing what one hates, in calamities, in distress, worry, grief, sadness, and other occasions and states. To compile these noble prophetic remembrances and supplications, many books have been attempted by scholars and students of knowledge over time, but many of those books contained some weak remembrances or some remembrances were not documented in some books. Therefore, I saw that there should be a comprehensive, summarized book or encyclopedia for everything that has been corrected or improved from remembrances or supplications that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said or approved. Thus, I compiled this book, which is like the largest summarized comprehensive book or encyclopedia of everything that has been corrected or improved from remembrances or supplications of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. For this purpose, I did the following: 1 - Gathered all that has been corrected or improved from the sayings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in all the books of the Sunnah, leaving the weak ones. 2 - Organized these hadiths and divided them based on what is found in famous books of remembrance and supplication, such as Al-Adhkar by Al-Nawawi, Al-Wabil As-Sayyib by Al-Nawawi, and others, avoiding repetition as much as possible. For example, a hadith may contain many words and meanings, such as seeking refuge in Allah or asking Allah, and I place such a hadith in any appropriate chapter for either meaning. 3 - Included other chapters specifically about remembrances, such as those said by the noble Prophet ﷺ during prayer, and chapters about actions and deeds that may cause a decrease in reward, rejection of repentance, etc., briefly, because discussing these topics at length would be lengthy. 4 - Also, I gathered the first chapters of the book that discuss scholars' opinions on remembrance, its definition, types, benefits, conditions, and manners, along with other chapters such as the virtues of the Holy Quran, as reading the Quran is also a form of remembrance. 5 - Added many hadiths that talk about the virtues of actions related to these remembrances, as well as some chapters warning against harmful speech and bad deeds. 6 - Tried to be concise without compromising the comprehensiveness of the book; in any case, there are about 100 repeated hadiths in the chapters for necessity. 7 - I explained the hadiths and words that may be difficult to understand, and summarized many hadiths to simplify them for the general public and students of knowledge. 8 - The core of my work in this book is primarily derived from the book "Jami' Jawami' As-Sunnah" for the humble servant of Allah, Samah Mounir Abdo, which is considered a comprehensive encyclopedia similar to the works of our great scholars: - "Al-Jami' Al-Kamil fi Al-Hadith As-Sahih Al-Shamil" by Sheikh Muhammad Al-Azimi. - "Jami' As-Sunnah" by Sheikh Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman Al-Muqhim. - "As-Sahih As-Sahiihah" by Sheikh Al-Albani. - "Sahih Al-Jami' As-Saghir" by Sheikh Al-Albani. - "Sahih At-Targhib Wat-Tarhib" by Sheikh Al-Albani. - "Fawa'id min Jami' Al-Usul wa Majma' Az-Zawa'id" by Sheikh Muhammad bin Sulaiman Al-Maghribi, with verification by Suleiman bin Duraij Abu Ali. I also referred to various books of Sunnah, including, but not limited to, the book of Adhkar by Imam Al-Nawawi, Al-Wabil As-Sayyib by Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, and others. 9 - I have strived to make my book the most comprehensive and inclusive in this regard—briefly and without repetition as much as possible—and to be a useful book for the general public and students of Islamic sciences, especially beginners. For this purpose, I, by the grace of Allah, summarized some books that may be mentioned in this book, including the book's name, author, (date of death), and their abbreviation code (which may be written in the book), as follows: 1- Muwatta of Imam Malik (179 AH): (ML). 2- Musnad of Al-Shafi'i (204 AH): (Shf). 3- Al-Shafi'i in the proven Sunnah: (Shf). 4- Musnad Abu Dawood Al-Tayalisi (204 AH): (T). 5- Musnad Abu Bakr Ibn Abi Shaybah (235 AH): (Sh). 6- Musnad Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (241 AH): (H). 7- Sunan Al-Darimi (255 AH): (Di). 8- Sahih Al-Bukhari (256 AH): (Kh). 9- Al-Tarikh Al-Kabir by him: (Tkh). 10- Al-Adab Al-Mufrad by him: (Khd). 11- Sahih Muslim ibn Al-Hajjaj (261 AH): (M). 12- Introduction to Sahih Muslim by him: (M). 13- Sunan Ibn Majah (273 AH): (H). 14- Sunan Abu Dawood (275 AH): (D). 15- Sunan At-Tirmidhi (279 AH): (T). 16- Al-Shama'il Al-Muhammadiyah: (Tmm). 17- Kitab Al-Shama'il An-Nabawiyah: (Tsh). 18- Musnad Al-Bazzar (= Kitab Al-Bahr Az-Zakhir) (292 AH): (Bz). 19- Sunan An-Nasa'i (303 AH): (N). 20- 'Amal Al-Yawm Wal-Laylah by An-Nasa'i: (Si). 21- Al-Sunan Al-Kubra by him: (N). 22- Musnad Abi Ya'la Al-Mawsili (307 AH): (A). 23- Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah (311 AH): (Khz). 24- Sahih Ibn Hibban (354 AH): (Hb). 25- Al-Tabarani in Al-Mu'jam Al-Kabir (360 AH): (T). 26- Al-Tabarani in Al-Ausat: (Taw). 27- Al-Tabarani in Al-Asghar: (Tsc). 28- Al-Tabarani in Musnad Ash-Shamiyyin: (Tsh). 29- Sunan Al-Daraqutni (385 AH): (Qat). 30- Al-Mustadrak by Al-Hakim (405 AH): (K). 31- Al-Sunan Al-Kubra by Al-Bayhaqi (458 AH): (Hq). 32- Shu'ab Al-Iman by him: (Hb). 33- Explanation of As-Sunnah by Al-Baghawi (516 AH): (Bg). 34- Selected Hadiths by Dhiya' Ad-Din Al-Maqdisi (643 AH): (D). 35- Musannaf Abd Ar-Razzaq As-San'ani (211 AH): (Rzq or 'Ab). 36- Sunan Sa'id ibn Mansur (277 AH): (S). 37- Zawa'id Musnad of Abdullah, son of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (290 AH): (Am). 38- Al-Da'if Al-Kabir by Al-Aqeeli (322 AH): (Aq). 39- Al-Kamil fi Dhu'afaa' Ar-Rijal by Ibn 'Adi (365 AH): (Ad). 40- Hilyat Al-Awliya' by Abu Naim Al-Isfahani (430 AH): (Hl). 41- Book of Virtues of the Companions by Al-Hafiz Abi Naim Al-Isfahani. 42- Baghdad History by Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi (463 AH): (Kht). 43- Al-Firdaws with the Narration of Speech (= Musnad Al-Firdaws) by Al-Dailami (509 AH): (Fr). 44- History of Damascus city by Ibn Asakir (751 AH): (Kr). 45- 'Amal Al-Yawm Wal-Laylah by Ibn As-Sunni: (Bnsn). 46- Explanation of Mushkil Al-Athar by At-Tahawi: (Tah). 47- Explanation of Ma'ani Al-Athar by At-Tahawi: (Tahu). 48- Dictionary of the Companions by Ibn Qainaq: (Qe). 49- Musnad Ali by An-Nasa'i: (As). 50- Musnad Malik by An-Nasa'i: (Kn). 51- Mursal Hadiths by Abu Dawood: (Md). 52- Questions by Abu Dawood: (L). 53- Qadar (Destiny) by Abu Dawood: (Qd). 54- Virtues of the Ansar by Abu Dawood: (Sd). 55- Tafsir (Interpretation) by Ibn Majah: (Fq). 56- Unique Sunan by Abu Dawood: (F). 57- Al-Ghazali (505 AH): (Ghz). 58- Musnad Malik by Abu Dawood: (Kd). 59- Al-Ikmal by Al-Bayhaqi: (Q). 60- Mawaqi' Al-Akhlaq by Al-Khraiti (327 AH): (Khr). 61- Classes (or = Al-Tabqat Al-Kubra) by Ibn Sa'd: (S). 62- Al-Qada'i in Musnad Al-Shihab: (Qad). 63- Sunnah of Ibn Abi Aasim: (As). And others from books... 10 - I relied on authenticating and verifying the hadiths and narrations according to contemporary scholars in the 14th Hijri century, meaning scholars or muhaddithin born after the year 1300 AH until now, known for their competence, such as: - Sheikh Muhammad Nasser Ad-Din Al-Albani (Al-Albani): (born in Shkodra, the old capital of Albania, in 1914, died in 1999). - Sheikh Muhammad Mustafa Al-Azimi (Al-Azimi): (born in Manno, India, in 1932, died in 2017). - Sheikh Shu'ayb Al-Arna'ut (Al-Arna'ut): (born in Damascus, Syria, in 1928, died in 2016). - Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Shakir (Shakir): (born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1892, died in 1958). - Sheikh Muqbil bin Hadi Al-Wadi'i (Al-Wadi'i): (born in Dammaj village, Sada province, Yemen, in 1933, died in 2001). 11 - I avoided lengthy referencing, mentioning the companion narrator and some of the main sources of hadith, striving to show and write the grade of the hadith after the source and narrator, before the text of the hadith (the narrator is one or some of the companions, sometimes a follower or others, and then I often clarify and write this). The total number of hadiths and narrations in this book is about 1850 authentic or good or حسن لغيره. About 100 of them are repeated for necessity. I have initially completed writing and arranging this book on Friday, 27th of Jumada Al-Awwal, 1446 AH, corresponding to November 29, 2024 AD. Finally, Allah bears witness that I have worked hard over several years on this book for His sake, to make it the largest comprehensive book of noble remembrances and supplications, without repetition and summarized, of everything that I have been able to find and that has been proven or improved from all the books of the Sunnah, as an indispensable encyclopedia for every Muslim. I pray for mercy, forgiveness, generosity, kindness, and victory from Allah for me and for Muslims. Please do not forget to pray for me, for you, and for all Muslims.
