The School of Administration and Languages was established in 1886 AD, and in the same year, it was transformed into the Khedival School of Law, which played a pioneering role in shaping enlightened national leaderships and elites in all fields. It was able, through its scholars, to transfer Islamic jurisprudence to the halls of Cairo University; because they were pioneers in many fields: educational, legislative, and judicial. They even formed—at that time—the conscience and spirit of the Egyptian nation to such an extent that they changed the scientific curriculum for studying Islamic jurisprudence in law faculties later on, which made Islamic law occupy a broad scope and take up a significant part of the courses and curricula in these faculties. This study focused heavily on highlighting the scientific value of the scholars of this school, through revealing their tremendous efforts in the fields of legislative comparisons, jurisprudential codification, and jurisprudential theorization. It also emphasized the wonderful role of the school as an educational institution that sought and worked to revive the literature of Islamic jurisprudence again; thus, it proved that the claim that Islamic jurisprudence is static is incorrect. The Khedival School of Law succeeded in presenting the Islamic jurisprudential heritage to the giants of comparative Western jurisprudence such as Edward Lambert, Ames, Walton, and others, who contributed to presenting the Islamic legal system to the world at the Hague Conference on Comparative Law to be adopted alongside other reputable legal systems. Thus, the message of Islam in the modern era reached through the gateway of the scholars of the Khedival School of Law.
