Principles of Comparative Law Ahmed Al-Saeed Al-Zaqrd Cover: Koshia Size 17 × 25 Principles of Comparative Law The rise of comparative law after the issuance of the French Civil Code in 1804 and the jurisprudence and judiciary considered its texts as sacred and not to be interpreted or construed in a way that aligns with new developments in reality, and therefore the school of explanation on the texts flourished, where some resorted to comparative law to respond to the commentators on the texts. Then, comparative legal studies developed and aimed to reach the common law for civilized nations, and it is not an exaggeration to claim that we are now living in the shadow of this goal. I have decided to draft a work on comparative law to benefit from foreign law in developing national law. I also wrote this work driven by the lack of comparative studies in the Arab library, and based on these justifications and others, I have no doubt that the legal community will accept it with good reception. The book addresses two chapters: the first: on the nature of comparative law, its role, and the second: on the factors influencing the emergence of legal rules and the idea of legal statutes.
