Long ago, Mount Al-Qara was known for its caves that served as a refuge for those fleeing the summer heat, where they stayed for their coolness. This mountain is made of sedimentary rocks tending to red, overlooking vast areas of palm trees and orchards, and several villages, most notably "Al-Qara," which the mountain was named after. What made this mountain famous is its twelve caves of different shapes and lengths, characterized by their cool interior, where the temperature remains around 20°C, even on the hottest summer days when outside temperatures exceed 40°C.
