Product description
- Sequestrene 138 Fe 100 SG consists of fully water-soluble granules containing 6.24% iron chelated by EDDHA (of which 3.5% in the ortho-ortho form), the most effective form thanks to its strong chelate bond.
- Developed to treat and prevent iron deficiency in a wide range of field and horticultural crops, thanks to its strong ability to protect iron and keep it available in the most challenging soils – alkaline and calcareous soils.
- Stable across a pH range of 3.5 to 11, which prevents iron from being locked up and keeps it available for fast uptake over an extended period.
- EDDHA-chelated iron works best when applied to the soil through drip irrigation, spread around the base of trees or alongside planting rows, or added to hydroponic systems. Foliar spraying is not recommended unless soil application is not possible.
- Can be applied alone or mixed with most soluble fertilizers or pesticides; carry out a jar compatibility test before preparing any tank mix.
- Sequestrene 138 Fe 100 SG is a highly effective iron chelate for correcting iron deficiency in citrus, field crops, orchards and ornamental plants.
- Gives foliage a deep green color free from yellowing (chlorosis) and increases bud and flower development, leading to higher yields and better crop quality.
- Studies show excellent performance of Sequestrene 138 Fe in alkaline and calcareous soils, where iron may not be available in sufficient amounts. It is usually applied to the soil or sprayed on green foliage.
For Best Results:
Sequestrene is absorbed by both roots and leaves, but root uptake gives the longest-lasting and most effective results.
Soil application: By injection, spreading next to the plant, in a trench around tree trunks or along plant rows, or through irrigation.
Foliar application: Use enough water to cover the whole plant.
Preventive use: Best applied early in the season at planting, or at any time during active plant growth.
Curative use: Apply at any time during the growing season as long as conditions support active growth and do not interfere with flowers or fruit. Rates are for guidance only; exact rates depend on crop type, age, planting density and other factors.
