Directions for Use

Fuel preparation

  • The machine runs on a mixture of petrol and two-stroke (2T) engine oil intended for agricultural equipment.
  • Use high-quality oil made for two-stroke engines; do not use regular car (4T) oil.
  • Follow the mixing ratio recommended by the manufacturer on the engine label or in the operating manual.
  • Prepare only the amount of fuel needed and do not store the mixture for long periods.

Using the line head

  • Use the line head for cutting lawn grass and light weeds and for working around trees, fences and areas that need precise trimming without damaging plants or nearby obstacles.

Using the metal blade

  • Use the metal blade for cutting alfalfa, tall weeds, dense grass and dry weeds that are hard to handle with the line.

During operation

  • Start the engine and let it run briefly before starting work.
  • Move the machine in steady side-to-side sweeps for an even cut and higher efficiency.
  • Avoid hitting stones, wires and metal objects to protect the blade and the engine.

Maintenance

  • Clean the air filter regularly to maintain engine power and reduce fuel consumption.
  • Check the spark plug and clean or replace it when needed.
  • Make sure the blade or line head is securely fitted before each use.
  • Clean grass residue and dust off the machine after work.
  • Check and grease the gearbox periodically according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Safety Precautions

  • Wear safety glasses, gloves and suitable footwear during operation.
  • Do not allow children or untrained persons to use the machine.
  • Do not refuel while the engine is hot or running.
  • Keep people and animals away from the work area while cutting.
  • Stop the engine completely before changing the blade or doing any maintenance.
  • Do not use the metal blade near stones or concrete surfaces.

Orkida Tip

  • If your work is limited to lawn grass and light weeds, the line head is the best and safest option; for alfalfa, dense grass and tall weeds, the metal blade gives faster, more efficient cutting. Regular air-filter cleaning and high-quality two-stroke oil help maintain engine power and extend its service life for years.
