The last night - Emmanuel Buff

Arnold, the boy in whom and upon whom all the qualities of the hero are placed according to Emmanuel Bove's fictional perspective, and in a dark room in a miserable inn in the Naim neighborhood of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, he is in perfect distress, torn by all kinds of crises, looking out at the crowd from an isolated window. During a single, final, rainy, and stormy night, Arnold decides to close that window and try one last means to embrace heroism, to find a place among the people. This means is controlling suicidal pranks. It is not easy to escape from Emmanuel Bove's world, for stories are like a dense forest with intertwined trees, strange and frightening worlds, from which you only emerge having been marked with many scratches on your body. On the last night, Bove plants another scar in the human self, standing before it as a judge with a harsh hammer, and as an accused with a sad smile that suddenly decides to die. The hammer of cruelty may fall in front of the will of that smile which desires death, but no smile in this world can stand against cruelty. This is the lesson Emmanuel Bove wants to teach the world in one night... it may be the last night.
